We have had a busy couple of months and finally found a few moments to load some pictures to share. Our Christmas season started even before Thanksgiving! We put our decorations up early and try to get the most out of the season. Mimi and Pa took the boys to ride the Pink Pig at Macy’s. It is a family tradition that they love. Our Christmas season has been filled with family, friends, choir performances, the Hanging of the Greens, and visits with Santa. We had breakfast with Santa a few weeks ago and then got to see him again at a Christmas party. We went to Nashville to spend time with extended family there the week before Christmas. We got to stay at the Opryland Hotel and do snow tubing and see the Ice exhibit while we were there. Opryland is definitely worth seeing at the holidays. The lights and decorations were beautiful. We loved seeing the Porter side of the family. The boys especially enjoyed seeing their cousins Eli, Helton, and Carter. When we came home we made cookies and candy, watched Christmas movies, and spent time with family. The boys also got to spend a little extra time with Kelly and Jeff since they were visiting from NYC. We celebrated Christmas eve at the candlelight service at church and then visited with the Reeves side of the family. We spent Christmas day with the Groovers. We have been busy and are ready for a little rest time. Joy to the World and Merry Christmas! See our picture links below:

We started our Christmas season by traveling to Bryson City to ride the Polar Express. We began our trip by going to Gatlinburg. We traveled to Bryson City the next day to board the Polar Express. We wore our pajamas and enjoyed hot cocoa, cookies, and candy. John Reagan said “this is what I call a meal!” The experience exceeded our expectations. Carson said it “was better than he ever imagined”. It is Carson’s favorite book and movie so we knew that he would love it. Thanks Mimi for a great trip!!! Click here for more Polar Express pictures.
We had a fun and happy Halloween. We celebrated by carving and painting pumpkins, visiting with grandparents, trick-or-treating with friends, and sitting by the fire. Carson was a cowboy and John Reagan was Eeyore. Happy fall y'all!
Today was John Reagan’s first day of preschool in the 3 year old class. It’s so hard to believe that this day is already here! We are excited for him to have a great year with his friends and new teachers!
Carson had a fabulous first day of first grade! It’s hard to believe how quickly time is passing. The summer flew by and now it is school time again. We’re excited that he’s going to Due West Elementary with me this year. We are looking forward to a great year!
We had a busy and fun summer! We spent two weeks at Ormond Beach with family and had a very memorable vacation filled with relaxation, sandcastles, swimming, putting together puzzles, putt-putt, salt water taffy, seafood, Krispy Kreme donuts, and movies. We got to spend time with family members that we don’t see nearly often enough. The boys really enjoyed playing with their cousins. We had a great time and can’t wait to go back. Happy Memorial Day! We are so grateful for all those who have served in the military and made sacrifices so that we can enjoy freedom and family time. We spent part of Memorial Day weekend in Blue Ridge. On Saturday we had to make a trip to the emergency room for Carson to get antibiotics for an infected abrasion on his leg. That was no fun, but we made it back to Blue Ridge in time for some fun on the lake. Hopefully he will heal up soon. We enjoyed three cookouts this weekend. What a great way to start summer!
