Last week Carson went to Gatlinburg with Mimi and Pa. He had a great time. Pa taught him to skip rocks and took him on the chair lift up the mountain. They also went to see the synchronous fireflies. It was a neat experience for him. It was strange only having John Reagan at home—it’s much easier to have only one!! We missed him but glad he was able to go and do something with his grandparents. We hope everyone is having as much fun this summer as we are. We are heading to the beach in a few days. Click here for more Gatlinburg pictures
A few weeks ago we went camping at Cloudland Canyon. It was our first visit to this state park. It was beautiful and worth the drive!! We had a great time hiking and enjoying nature. There’s just something about food cooked over a campfire! We had to cut our trip a little short due to the weather. We are planning to go back soon to stay in a yurt. Memorial Day weekend was fun and relaxing. We went to Blue Ridge for a few days with Nana and G-Daddy where we enjoyed boat rides, an art festival, eating popsicles, and dining at the Riverside restaurant. When we got home we had a cookout with Mimi and Pa.

Carson’s end of year school picnic was May 1st. It was a celebration to culminate the year. He was very blessed with a great class, friends, and wonderful teachers. He has truly blossomed this school year. We love Due West UMC Preschool!! Click here for more picnic pictures
Mother’s day weekend was very busy in the Reeves home. We feel so blessed to have so many mothers to celebrate! We took Nana out for dinner on Friday evening. Then on Saturday Carson had a soccer game. After his soccer game we went to the circus with Mimi and Pa. Carson got an armband to ride unlimited rides so he was in hog heaven! Just the four of us had a picnic on Sunday to celebrate and then we had Mamaw and Papaw over on Sunday evening for dinner. It was fun and family filled. Due West Preschool had a Mother’s Tea on May 1. The children had a musical performance and then we ate lunch together. Carson and his classmates made tons of beautiful artwork with an Eric Carle theme. I had to put up another board at home to display everything that he made. After lunch we went out on the playground for some play time with his good friend Jack. What a special day! Click here for more Mother’s Tea pictures
Carson played Upward soccer this spring. We enjoyed watching him play each week but it was frustrating for him to chase one ball back and forth across the field for an hour at a time with nine other kids. His favorite part was making new friends. He loved to go out on the field and socialize! I guess it’s difficult for a 4 year old to completely understanding the point of the game. He would leave each game feeling exhausted and barely getting a chance to kick the ball. He’s just not a very aggressive personality. We may try soccer again in the future, but for now I don’t think that it’s his sport of choice. It was a good experience and a life lesson in finishing the drill (even if you don’t particularly like it)! Click here for more soccer pictures
